Terms of service
Last updated 17 August 2026
These terms apply to garage door repair and servicing work carried out by Bruce Garage Door Repair (ABN 63745643826). Booking a job means you accept them.
What we do
We repair and service existing garage doors, openers and their components. We replace failed parts, including complete opener units where a component repair is not viable. We do not manufacture doors and we do not carry out new-door installations where no door is currently fitted.
Call-out fee and quotes
There is no call-out fee. We attend, inspect the door and provide a fixed price for the repair before any work begins. If you choose not to proceed, there is nothing to pay for the visit.
Quotes cover the work described at the time of quoting. If we find an additional fault once work is under way, we will stop and obtain your agreement before doing anything further. Prices published on this website are indicative only and are not an offer.
Attendance and timing
We aim to attend the same day and will give you an arrival window when you book. Traffic, weather, and jobs that turn out to be larger than described can move that window; where they do we will contact you. Arrival times are estimates and are not guaranteed.
Access and safety
You are responsible for providing safe access to the door, including clearing vehicles and stored items from the working area, and keeping children and animals clear while we work. We may decline or postpone work where a site is unsafe, where a structure is unsound, or where the door cannot be made safe without additional trades.
Payment
Payment is due on completion unless agreed otherwise in writing. We accept Cash, EFTPOS, Visa, Mastercard, bank transfer. All prices are in Australian dollars and include GST.
Warranty
12-month warranty on parts and workmanship. The warranty covers the specific component we replaced and the work we performed. It does not cover:
- parts we did not supply, or work we did not carry out;
- damage caused by impact, forced operation, misuse, or attempted repair by others;
- faults arising from a door or structure we advised was beyond economical repair;
- normal wear on consumable items where the door is used at unusually high volume.
To make a warranty claim, phone 0482 911 999 and quote the job number on your invoice.
Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy conferred by the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) or any other applicable law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, and other than for liability that cannot be excluded, our liability arising out of a job is limited to re-supplying the service or paying the cost of having it re-supplied. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of use of a vehicle or garage.
Cancellation
You can cancel or reschedule a booking at any time before we arrive at no charge. If a technician attends at an agreed time and cannot gain access, we may charge a reasonable attendance fee for the wasted trip; we will tell you if that applies before re-booking.
Pre-existing condition
Garage doors are mechanical assemblies that wear as a system. Repairing one worn component can expose wear in another. Where we can foresee this we will tell you at the time of quoting, but we are not responsible for the subsequent failure of components we did not supply or service.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia.
